were discovered at the Pic-n-Save in Huntington Beach, California
many years ago. It was not immediately that they were recognized for what
they were-- a breakthrough in the game of Pool. At first they were objects
of amusement. Those who saw them laughed and felt a lightening of their
burdens; almost it seemed that they possessed some special power to heal
through their goofiness alone. Only later, when the pocket billiard table
seemed to have no more to offer, and through either sheer boredom or divine
inspiration were the two brought together to form the most excitement on
a pool table since Fats himself crushed several young spectators at the
World's Nine Ball Championship in Minnetonka back in 1936. |
